Mindfulness – Based
Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an intensive course designed to transform your
relationship to stress, improve your health, and increase your enjoyment
of life.Developed at
the University of Massachusetts by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR has been
extensively studied since the late 1970’s.Research shows that many people who complete this course
report:

The class consists of
eight 2-hour classes, and one half-day retreat.Classes are highly participatory and practical.The course includes:
Guided
instruction in mindfulness meditation practices
Gentle
stretching and mindful movement (appropriate for all ability levels)
Exercises
to bring mindfulness to challenging situations in everyday life
Practice
with small and large group discussions
Daily
at-home practice (20-45 minutes per day) with specially designed
materials
Cushions,
chairs & mats will be provided for your comfort; wear comfortable
clothing.
Cost:The course fee is $350, which includes 8 classes, a workbook, 2
CDs and the retreat with lunch. Checks and credit cards accepted. Payments
are processed through East Meets West Center. No-interest payment
plans can be arranged.
